My First Bottle Attempts
9th June 2006 - Pre Shoreditch Bottle:
Myself and Jamie took on Kevin & Ryan and The Fatbouy, in the pre-Shoreditch closure event. We did not start until gone 1800 so needed to get around fairly quickly in order to get to Shoreditch for the last train. We started at Knightsbridge and went straight up to Kings Cross, we then needed a Circle line for Embankment, we got as far as Liverpool Street on an H&C service but everything was going really slowly. We then got to Aldgate on a Met service and waited for ages for a Circle line train to eventually come. In hindsight it would have been better to run to Aldgate East or Tower Hill and pick up the District line. Eventually we got the train to Embankment and did a quick double back at Charing X. The remainder of the route went fairly well and we finished at Bank in a time of 2:26:20
