On 17th November 2006, we attempted to visit all 275 stations on the London Underground. Our main goal was to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need, if you wish you can still donate to the fund. Our second aim was to beat the current world record of 18h25m03s and our final goal was to have fun! Well we certainly had fun and we are very pleased with the amount raised so far, with further pledges to come in we hope to raise almost £2000.
Unfortunately we did not break the world record!
The fab four, John, Kevin, Jamie & Antony. Just before we started from Amersham at 05:25.
The 5th and most important member of our team, Pudsey Bear!
This is Alice, Kevin & Antonys Mum and Jamies Nan. She took us to Amersham in the morning and delivered our lunch to Morden in the afternoon.
This is Cathryn, she was our support team from midday until around 9pm. Cathryn did a great job running ahead to get vital information for us.
My Son Phillip (pictured on a Challenge research day) he helped us do some research and looked after the control centre on the day itself.
The time stamp on the camera went wrong, it didnt take us 12 years to complete the challenge!

LATEST NEWS:
26TH SEPTEMBER:
The World Record has been broken. Håkan Wolgé and Lars Andersson (Sweden) set a new time of 18:25:03, breaking the existing record by ten minutes. The time is yet to be confirmed by Guinness, which could take a few months. In the meantime we would like to congratulate Håkan & Lars on setting such a great time. We now need to work extra hard on our plans if we are to re-claim the record for the UK!
14TH OCTOBER (RESEARCH DAY)
Today we will be out and about researching our route, Starkey will be up in the North West to start researching Metropolotian line changes and later in the day the Hainault loop area. Dr Who and Soup Dragon are checking connections between Richmond and Morden in the South and High Barnet to Cockfosters in the North. Going Underground will focus on checking out several District line connections.

BBC Southern Counties Radio gave our Challenge a plug on their breakfast show, and will probably give us some coverage on the day between 09:40 and 10:40.
17TH NOVEMBER
The day itself, heavy rain and service disruptions made our attempt very difficult. Earlier in the morning we had been on record pace but the delays eventually caught up with us.
BBC Southern Counties had live radio links throughout the day, The report from Startford at 8:53 had me talking live on air and running for a train at the same time.
20TH NOVEMBER
The story was covered by one of our local newspapers, The Brighton Argus. For the full details click here:
