The challenge is to complete seven rides in the fastest possible time. The stopwatch starts when your first ride starts moving and stops when you leave the exit of the seventh ride. Rides must be done during normal opening hours and using normal queues. Fast passes and single rider entrances are not allowed in this challenge. Queue jumping is not allowed.
Our first ride of the day. There was hardly any queue so we decided to wait for front row seats as this would not impact our time. Sally & Phillip sat in the front with myself & Emma sitting behind. As always Vampire is a great ride.
2. Black Buccaneer
A quick run to our second ride. At first we thought the ride was closed as there was nobody in the queue or on the ride.
We ran down the slope and the ride operator was in the hut and let us straight on, unfortunately several people entered the queue so the ride operator let them board the boat. Black Buccaneer is the best Pirate Ship ride and goes extremely high.
3. Dragon's Fury
A short run into Chessington's newest themed area, for what is probably the best ride in the park. The ride is very similar to Spinball Whizzer at Alton Towers but in my opinion it's quicker and the cars spin faster. There was only a one minute queue!
4. Ramases Revenge
After all the spinning on Dragons Fury, it was a dizzy run to Rameses Revenge. This was the only ride Emma did not do. There was no queue and the ride rotation was very short. We did 4 quick spins and that was about it, luckily we sat in dry seats so escaped a soaking.
5. Rattlesnake
Another short run, and again no queue to speak of. There used to be Mexican guy at the start of the ride saying "Sit back, hold tight, this is a bumpy ride", but sadly he no longer appears to be present. Rattlesnake is indeed a fast and bumpy ride.
6. Runaway Train
A short run within Mexicana to one of the oldest rides in the park. The Runaway Train is still quite good fun although it does not seem as fast is it once did? We used a Starkey "short cut" to avoid walking the full length of the queue and made a perfect connection for 3 laps on the train.
7. Dragon Falls
A very long run to the Mystic East for our final ride. Sally joined us again for this one. Dragon Falls has one of the best drops of all UK log flumes, I would say better than Thorpe Park or Alton Towers. We thought we had done the ride without getting wet but the elephant at the end soaked us all.
